Congratulations to Andrew Gotay for bringing home the Gold in this past weekend’s NAGA Grappling tournament in Hartford, Connecticut! This NAGA tournament was part of an even larger event featuring multiple fitness and athletic events such as bodybuilding, weightlifting, CrossFit, and Karate.
Andrew’s consistent hard work and dedication paid off on Saturday as he took on two larger opponents in the Heavyweight division. He has been training at New York Catch Wrestling for the past year and has been a loyal member of our club.
In his first Submission wrestling tournament, Gotay displayed great takedowns and top control to win both of his matches by points. 
We even had the pleasure of meeting Pro Wrestling Legend, Bob Backlund. Mr. Backlund was the WWF Heavyweight Champion from 1978 to 1983.
I spoke with him about Coach Billy Robinson and he could attest to Coach Robinson’s wrestling prowess.
